How we work
Listen. Map. Build. Teach.
No mystery. Here is what happens, in order, and what you should expect at each step.
The four steps
From first call to handover.
- Step 1
Listen
We start with your problem, not our tools.
A free conversation, no pitch. We ask how the work happens today, where it slows down, and what you have already tried. If AI is not the right answer, we say so.
Like a doctor who asks questions before reaching for the prescription pad.
- Step 2
Map
We draw the process and mark where AI helps.
We write down each step, who does it, and which steps need judgment. Then we propose what to automate, what to leave to people, and what it will take. You approve the plan before anything is built.
Like a blueprint you review before the first board is cut.
- Step 3
Build
We build the smallest thing that works.
We test it on your real examples, including past work you already know the answers to. You see it early and often, and a person stays in the loop on anything that matters.
Like a trial run with last year’s orders before the busy season.
- Step 4
Teach
We make sure your team can run it without us.
We train the people who will use it, hand over plain-English documentation, and stay reachable for questions. You should never feel locked in or in the dark.
Like handing over the keys with a full walkthrough, not just the keys.
Realistic expectations
What we promise, and what we will not.
We promise
- To explain things in plain language and answer questions without jargon.
- To tell you early if something will not work, or costs more than it saves.
- To keep a person in the loop for decisions that matter.
- To put the important terms, such as ownership, data, and costs, in writing.
We will not
- Promise a result we cannot measure, or quote a timeline before we understand the work.
- Build something just because it uses AI.
- Hide how a tool works, or make you depend on us to understand it.
- Give legal advice. If you work in a regulated field, your attorney should review the final policy.
Common questions
Before you ask.
How long will it take?
It depends on the work. A policy review is a different job from a custom app. After the Map step, you get an honest estimate in writing, before you commit to building anything.
What will it cost?
We quote after we understand the problem, and we explain what drives the price. For any tool we build, we also tell you what it costs to run each month, so there are no surprises later.
Will AI replace my people?
Our goal is to take the repetitive work off your team, not to remove the team. For anything that matters, we design the tool so a person reviews the result before it goes out.
What if AI is not the right answer?
Then we will say so in the first conversation. A simpler fix is a good outcome.
Who owns what you build?
We agree this in writing before we start. You should know what you own, where your data lives, and how to move it if you ever leave.
Tell us what you are trying to fix.
A free conversation. No pitch, no pressure. We will listen, ask a few questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.
